Catherine Crosby Long is an American attorney and beauty pageant titleholder from Brewton, Alabama. She was named Miss Alabama 2003 and was a semi-finalist at Miss America 2004.
==Pageant career==
Crosby was selected as Escambia County's Junior Miss in 1998.〔 She was crowned Miss Auburn University in 2001 but failed to place in the Miss Alabama competition that year. She won the Miss Painted Rock 2002 title and placed in the top ten at Miss Alabama 2002.〔
In 2003, Crosby was crowned Miss Homewood Area.〔 Entering the 2003 Miss Alabama pageant as one of 50 finalists, Crosby's preliminary competition talent for Miss Alabama was playing the flute.〔〔 Crosby won the state competition on Saturday, June 14, 2003, when she received her crown from outgoing Miss Alabama titleholder Scarlotte Deupree.〔〔
During her reign as Miss Alabama, Crosby appeared on an April 2004 episode of TLC's ''While You Were Out'' titled "Sweet Disco Alabama".〔 She had the show makeover her then-boyfriend's basement rec room.〔
Crosby was Alabama's representative at the Miss America 2004 pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Her platform was "First Vote: America's Freedom to Choose", a program to teach young Americans the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, with a focus on voting.〔〔 Her competition talent was performing "Riverdance" on a flute.
Crosby was a Top 15 semi-finalist for the title and won a Quality of Life award for her community work.〔
Her reign as Miss Alabama continued until Deidre Downs was crowned on June 12, 2004.〔 (Downs was Crosby's first runner-up in 2003.)〔
